Yellow Fabriano
I finally finished this sketchbook. I started this in June of last year and went hard at it for a while but lost steam in August. This has just been sitting on my desk, taunting me to finish it for so long. The last few pages were a struggle but I’m glad I no longer need to worry about it.
Favorite Color Combo: Aqua blue and black
Favorite Drawing Subject: Chickens and buffalos

Page Count: 80
Paper: 80 gsm
Book Size: 8″ by 11″, staple bound
Extra Notes: This paper needs thicker and wetter nibs and brushes. The fude nibs were OK with it as long as I didn’t draw too fast or too big. Brush pens were decent on it.

Tools Used
Most brush pens and fudes.
Favorite color combo was definitely that blue and black, but I’m starting to miss having a red in my rotation.

Final Thoughts

I started this sketchbook back in June, 2022. It was the first time I started a large sized sketchbook and taking it seriously. It was a really good place to practice drawing big and using brush pens. Also it was a good place to try some faux Chinese brush painting with minimal setup.
Unfortunately I ran out of steam around October and abandoned it.
